Specifying a custom remote control program

If you have a program other than Remote Desktop that allows you to remotely control computers, you can use it via the RM Management Console once it has been specified as the remote control program.

To specify a custom remote control program

From the Tools menu, choose Options.
In the Options window, choose the Remote Control tab.
Select Custom program.
Type the path to the custom program in the format:

c:\<file path>\<file.exe>/start:[computer]

where <file path> is replaced by the path to the file and <file.exe> is the name of the executable file to be run. The remainder of the string is dependent on the remote control program used: refer to the appropriate documentation for the precise syntax. Replace [computer] with the name of the computer you want to control remotely

Click OK.
